How it works

How a multi unit order works

Everything is handled by email, and there is no membership and no application.

  • Overhead flat lay of a floor plan, a room list, a tape measure and a pencil on a desk

    Send the unit list

    Units, sizes and subjects. A photograph of one unit is enough for the rest.

    Quote within one working day
  • A primed canvas on a wooden easel beside a palette with fresh oil paint in a studio

    Approve the quote

    Production starts on a 50% deposit, and each canvas goes to a painter who specializes in that style.

    Painting starts the same week
  • A framed oil painting on an easel photographed in a studio with softboxes and a tripod

    Approve the photographs

    We send high resolution photographs of every finished canvas. Adjustments at that stage are free.

    About 3 weeks on the easel
  • A shipping bench with a cardboard tube, a rolled canvas, a wooden crate and foam corners

    Receive the order

    The balance is due on approval. Rolled canvases ship insured, and framed pieces travel in a crate.

Per unframed canvas in US dollars. One piece is retail. The discount starts at two pieces on the same order and grows with the count, and framing and stretching take the same discount as the canvas.

Questions

Questions hosts ask before they order

How many units can I furnish at once?

Nothing to join and nothing to apply for, and the tier is set by the piece count on the order. Ten to nineteen pieces on one order take 30 percent off retail, so a 16 by 20 in canvas is 245 dollars and a 24 by 30 in canvas is 336 dollars. Twenty or more take 40 percent, which is 210 and 288 dollars.

Will guests know it is not a print?

What arrives is oil on canvas laid down by hand, not a print and not a transfer. The paint has physical relief, and because each canvas is painted individually no two units end up with the identical object on the wall.

Do the canvases arrive stretched?

No. The default finish is unframed canvas shipped rolled, which is the cheapest way to move a large order. Stretching and framing are quoted by size and carry the same tier discount as the canvas. A framed piece of 30 by 40 in or bigger travels crated, with freight quoted per project.

How long before a unit is ready?

About 3 weeks to paint, up to 4 weeks for complex work, then 3 to 10 days of shipping. A canvas of 40 by 60 in or under lands 7 to 10 business days after dispatch. Expedited production is available on request.
