How it works

How a specified order works

Everything is handled by email, and there is no membership and no application.

  • Overhead flat lay of a floor plan, a room list, a tape measure and a pencil on a desk

    Send the spec

    Sizes, subjects, palette references and the rooms. A moodboard or a floor plan is enough.

    Quote within one working day
  • A primed canvas on a wooden easel beside a palette with fresh oil paint in a studio

    Approve the quote

    Production starts on a 50% deposit, and each canvas goes to a painter who specializes in that style.

    Painting starts the same week
  • A framed oil painting on an easel photographed in a studio with softboxes and a tripod

    Approve the photographs

    We send high resolution photographs of every finished canvas. Adjustments at that stage are free.

  • A shipping bench with a cardboard tube, a rolled canvas, a wooden crate and foam corners

    Receive the order

    The balance is due on approval. Rolled canvases ship insured, and framed pieces travel in a crate.

Per unframed canvas in US dollars. One piece is retail. The discount starts at two pieces on the same order and grows with the count, and framing and stretching take the same discount as the canvas.

Questions

Questions designers ask before they order

Do you work to a specified size?

Yes. The catalog carries seven sizes between 16 by 20 in and 48 by 72 in, and anything custom up to 72 in is quoted inside 24 hours. The painting is made to the dimension you specify rather than cropped to a stock ratio.

Can you match a client palette?

Send the palette or the reference along with your list. Because every canvas is painted to order, colour direction is set before the artist begins, and adjustments at the photo approval stage are free, so the client signs off before anything ships.

Can I show the client the piece before it is finished?

The catalog photograph is what you present before ordering. Once the painting is finished you receive high resolution photographs for sign off, and adjustments at that stage are free, so the client approves the actual piece before it leaves the studio.

Is there a licensing issue if the room is published?

No. We paint public domain works only, so there is no rights chain on the artwork in your photographs. That matters when a project goes to press, to an award entry or into a portfolio.

Do I need an account or an application?

No. We run no membership and no approval step, and the tier is set by the piece count on the order itself. Send a resale certificate and sales tax comes off. Net 30 opens after two completed orders.
