How a hotel order works

Everything is handled by email, and there is no membership and no application.

  • Overhead flat lay of a floor plan, a room list, a tape measure and a pencil on a desk

    Send the room list

    Room count, sizes and subjects. A photo of the wall is enough.

    Quote within one working day
  • A primed canvas on a wooden easel beside a palette with fresh oil paint in a studio

    Approve the quote

    Production starts on a 50% deposit, and each canvas goes to a painter who specializes in that style.

    Painting starts the same week
  • A framed oil painting on an easel photographed in a studio with softboxes and a tripod

    Approve the photographs

    We send high resolution photographs of every finished canvas. Adjustments at that stage are free.

    About 3 weeks on the easel
  • A shipping bench with a cardboard tube, a rolled canvas, a wooden crate and foam corners

    Receive the order

    The balance is due on approval. Rolled canvases ship insured, and framed pieces travel in a crate.

Per unframed canvas in US dollars. One piece is retail. The discount starts at two pieces on the same order and grows with the count, and framing and stretching take the same discount as the canvas.

Questions

Questions hotels ask before they order

Can you supply art for a whole floor of rooms?

Yes. Send the room count, the sizes and the subjects and the whole set comes back in one consolidated quote within one working day. A run of rooms can share a subject and a size while every canvas stays an individually painted piece.

What is the price per room?

From ten pieces the discount is 30 percent off retail, so a 16 by 20 in canvas is 245 dollars and a 30 by 40 in canvas is 406 dollars. From twenty pieces it is 40 percent, which is 210 and 348 dollars. Framing and stretching take the same discount.

How long before the rooms can be hung?

Painting takes about 3 weeks, up to 4 weeks for complex work. Standard sizes up to 40 by 60 in arrive 7 to 10 business days after dispatch. Framed pieces above that size need crating and take about 3 to 4 weeks from approval.

Do the canvases arrive ready to hang?

Not by default. The default finish is unframed canvas shipped rolled, which is how a large order travels. Stretching and framing are priced per size on the price lists page and both take your volume discount. Framed pieces at 30 by 40 in and larger ship crated.

Can you reproduce a painting the property already owns?

If the original work is in the public domain, yes, at the same wholesale pricing. Send a photograph and the size. We do not reproduce works still in copyright, which keeps the project clear of any licensing claim.
