How it works

How a restaurant order works

Everything is handled by email, and there is no membership and no application.

  • Overhead flat lay of a floor plan, a room list, a tape measure and a pencil on a desk

    Send the room list

    Rooms, sizes, subjects and the opening date. A photo of the wall is enough.

    Quote within one working day
  • A primed canvas on a wooden easel beside a palette with fresh oil paint in a studio

    Approve the quote

    Production starts on a 50% deposit, and each canvas goes to a painter who specializes in that style.

    Painting starts the same week
  • A framed oil painting on an easel photographed in a studio with softboxes and a tripod

    Approve the photographs

    We send high resolution photographs of every finished canvas. Adjustments at that stage are free.

    About 3 weeks on the easel
  • A shipping bench with a cardboard tube, a rolled canvas, a wooden crate and foam corners

    Receive the order

    The balance is due on approval. Rolled canvases ship insured, and framed pieces travel in a crate.

Per unframed canvas in US dollars. One piece is retail. The discount starts at two pieces on the same order and grows with the count, and framing and stretching take the same discount as the canvas.

  • Best Quality Artwork and Framing ANYWHERE!!! This is the second time we have ordered paintings from Art & See and we couldnt be happier! One was rather large so I was very concerned about shipping, but it arrived safely and very well packaged, as did all the rest of them! Customer service is a delight if you need to work anything out with them. The service is friendly and prompt. Questions restaurants ask before they order

What subjects can you paint for a restaurant?

Anything in the public domain, which covers still life, market and kitchen scenes, wine and cafe subjects, landscapes and portraits. Any public domain painting is produced at wholesale pricing even when it is not in the catalog.

How fast can you deliver for an opening date?

Production runs about 3 weeks, up to 4 weeks for complex work, plus 3 to 10 days of shipping. Expedited production is available on request. Send the opening date with your list so the quote is built against it.

How many pieces do I need for the best price?

One piece is retail. Two to four pieces take 20 percent off, five to nine take 25 percent, ten to nineteen take 30 percent and twenty or more take 40 percent. The discount applies to framing and stretching as well, so a framed order discounts on both lines.

Are these prints on canvas?

No. Every piece is oil on canvas painted stroke by stroke, with no prints and no transfers. Each commission goes to a painter who specialises in that style, and because each canvas is painted individually two copies of the same work are never identical.
