What framed means here

There is no print step. An artist paints the copy in oil, in the size you select. Once the paint has cured, the canvas goes into a wooden frame before it leaves the studio. That is the difference between framed reproduction oil paintings and a bare canvas you still have to take to a framer.

Three orientations, ten mouldings

The frame follows the shape of the painting. Vertical sizes run from 16″ × 20″ to 48″ × 72″. Horizontal sizes run from 20″ × 16″ to 72″ × 48″. Square sizes run from 16″ × 16″ to 60″ × 60″. The frame size always matches the canvas size you picked.

Ten wood mouldings are available in every orientation:

• Modern Silver, Golden, Brown, Dark and Black Wood Picture Frame

Gallery wrap or a classic frame

The same menu holds two options that are not mouldings. Stretched mounts the canvas on a wooden stretcher and adds no border — the gallery wrap look, where the painting hangs as a plain rectangle. Unframed leaves the canvas without stretcher or moulding, for buyers who already work with a framer. A classic frame does the opposite: it puts a wooden border around the canvas and sets the painting off from the wall.

How to order

Open any painting below. Pick the size first, then pick the frame under Frame Type on the same page. The frame is added to the same order, and painting and frame arrive together in one shipment.

Time, shipping and returns

An artist needs about three weeks to paint the reproduction. Delivery takes another 3 to 10 days after it ships. Shipping is free, worldwide.

Before the painting leaves the studio, we send you a photo of the finished work. If something is wrong, the artist corrects it. After delivery you have 90 days to return the piece.
